Teni the Entertainer is the stage name of Nigerian singer, composer, and performer Teniola Apata. Born on December 12th, 1992, in Lagos State, Nigeria’s South Western region. Interestingly enough, Niniola’s younger sister is also a well-known Nigerian singer. Her stage names are Teni the performer and Teni Makanaki, depending on where you go in the world. Teni is a native of the Nigerian state of Ekiti.

Teni graduated from the Apata memorial high school and went on to get a degree in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University. Despite coming from a family that valued education, Teni began performing music at the age of two.

Originally known for her Instagram freestyles, Teni shot to fame when her track “Fargi” became a success. The song quickly became popular across Nigeria, where it was well-liked by a wide range of music fans. Since she first came to public attention, Teniola has penned and published a slew of hits. “Like That,” Davido’s smash hit song, was allegedly penned by her.
