What is Npower?

Npower Nigeria is one of the federal government’s programme for alleviation of poverty. It was established by the Nigerian federal ministry of works in conjunction with other ministries. The sole purpose for the establishment of Npower Nigeria recruitment is to provide more jobs for the general Nigerian youths without jobs.

What are the requirements one needs to meet to applying for Npower Recruitment form?

The application form is strictly for Nigerians that are willing to get empowered by the federal government. There are requirements you should meet when applying for the Npower jobs. If you do not meet these requirements, you will not be selected. They are:

Applicants must be between the ages of 18-35
Selection is based on the following:
Expressing a genuine area of interest
One must pass the relevant tests
One should be able to push oneself beyond one’s comfort zone
One’s ability to show a flair to develop all the skills one needs to be the best one can be
A Graduate means one that has a minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Bachelors Degree from a higher institution (For the purpose of Npower)
Any applicant must have a valid means of identification whether a voters card, driving license or national immigration passport.

What are the programs that are currently available on Npower?

There are programs that are available on Npower and i have provided a list of this programs and i have placed them in two catergories which are:

For Graduates
For Non Graduates

1. FOR GRADUATES:

Here are the programs available on Npower for graduates:

N-Power Volunteer Corps
N-Power Agro
N-Power Health
N-Power Teach
N-Power Tax

1. N-Power Volunteer Corps

This program is available for Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35. It last for a period of two years and it is a volunteering programme. One will also be paid during this period if one is selected and you will be posted to some public service institutions within your community.

2. N-Power Agro

This program takes a total of 100,000 youths that are qualified from the N-power portal. If one is qualifies for the program, one would provide advisory services to farmers in all parts of the country. One would also need to take across a total of the knowledge of the government in extension services and also put together the data on Nigeria’s assets in agriculture.

For one to qualify for this program, one must have a bachelor’s degree or an HND or OND in Agricultural sciences and other related courses. This program also lasts for a period of two years and one gets National Skills Qualification (NSQ) certification once one completes the program.

3. N-Power Health

This Npower program is available to graduates and these graduates will help in improving and promoting preventive healthcare that is available within their communities. Their main duty is to provide treatment to members of the community that are highly vulnerable like children and pregnant women. For one to qualify for this program, one would need to own a degree in health science courses like Medicine and surgery, Nursing, Microbiology, Public health and other related courses.

Applicants may also be graduates of school of Health Technology, a Nursing Schools, a Midwifery School or a Polytechnic. This program lasts for a period of two years.

4. N-Power Teach

This Npower program is aimed at supplementing the delivery of basic education in Nigeria. It is a volunteer program that one would help to develop the delivery of basic education in Nigeria. One cannot be the main teacher during this program and will only act as an assistant to the main teacher. This program is available only to teach primary schools.

To be able to qualify, one must have a graduate degree or OND or an NCE. This program is available for a period of two years.

5. N-Power Tax

This Npower program is aimed at encouraging taxpayers to declare their right income. Any one thay applies for this program and is selected will be expected to assist the government to persuade taxpayers to pay their right taxes.

This program would be able to take a minimum of 3,700 graduates. They would be selected to in Community Tax laison offices that is within their states where they live.

Once one becomes a tax laison officer of the community, one would need to answer to inquires online, manage customers and a lot more. This program is available for graduates with a Bachelor’s degree or an HND. Applicants are preferably from the social sciences discipline and should be unemployed to qualify. Applicants are also expected to be within the ages of 18 and 35. It is also important that applicants have a sound knowledge of usage of Microsoft tools as well as a good command of spoken and written English.

This program lasts for a period of 2years.

2. For Non-Graduates:

There are also a number of programs available for non graduates in Npower. They are:

N-Power Creative
N-Power Tech Hardware
N-Power Tech Software
N-Power Build

1. N-Power Knowledge

This program is set up by the government to diversify a knowledge economy. It is available for non graduates and at the end of the training, one could become a freelancer or entrepreneur that will utilize what one has learned.

2. N-Power Creative

This program is available to train creative and talented youths. This program is set up to create a creative industry for Nigeria. This program lasts for 3 months. It is only open to people within the ages of 18 and 35.

3. N-Power Tech Hardware

This program is set up to train and facilitate tooling for the selected youths to boost the device servicing and manufacturing industry.

4. N-Power Tech Software

This Npower program aims at empowering about 10,000 software developers. It will also train these devlopers and would provide for the tools needed to work and others. It is only open to people between rlthe ages of 18 and 25.

5. N-Power Build

This program aims at engaging 75,000 unemployed youths in Nigeria. To be able to apply for this program, one must show an interesting fixing and creating things. and it is opened to youths between the ages of 18 and 35.
