2023 JAMB Result is out on JAMB Portal. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been released 2023/2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result. The result is now available on JAMB portal – portal.jamb.gov.ng.

JAMB has announced the outcomes of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The Board reported that 1,595,779 candidates enrolled for the exam, which was held at 708 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across 105 examination cities nationwide.

Candidates can now easily check their UTME results for 2023 and previous years either online or via SMS. To access your UTME result online; you’ll need a device with an internet connection.

How to Check JAMB Result 2023

There are two options for checking JAMB results. Candidates can check their results online (through the JAMB portal) or via SMS (using JAMB shortcodes).

Using the online option is totally free, you only need an internet-enabled device to be able to check your result. The SMS option is good for candidates with no internet-enabled device or candidates in locations with a terrible network. However, network providers will charge for using the SMS option.

As of the time of this publication, the 2023 JAMB results are yet to be uploaded online. Candidates can only check their results via SMS [this is the only process of checking the 2023 UTME results for now as the Board has not uploaded it on its website for obvious reasons.

Check JAMB Result Offline (via SMS)

All candidates can now send UTMERESULT (without spacing) via SMS, to 55019 or 66019 using the same number used for registration (you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line). The result would be replied to you as an SMS shortly after.

The following are the responses to be expected:

If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a message will be sent to him thus: ‘This phone number was not used for registration.”
A candidate with a result will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… (and the details will be provided).
A “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidate if a result is withheld.
Suppose a candidate belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt. In that case, the message to the person will be: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
If a candidate were absent, s/he would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback
A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.
“Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorised access to the examination hall.

STEP 1: Visit the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) result checking portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/CheckUTMEResults
STEP 2: Supply your Registration Number/Phone Number in the required column
STEP 3: Finally, Click on the ‘Check My Results’ button to access your UTME results notification

The portal will return your JAMB Notification of Result if your result is ready. You can then proceed with the printing of the result.

Print Original JAMB Result Slip:

The JAMB result slip costs N1,000 (one thousand naira only), and it comes with passport photography affixed to it. Candidates who need to print their results slips are advised to visit the JAMB E-facility portal and then follow the procedure outlined.
