STEP 1
The first thing you need to do when doing a bridal makeup is to prep skin. This simply means that you need to prepare the skin for the makeup. You cannot just start applying your foundation and concealer like that unless they will not begin to fall apart after a few minutes which is a total disaster for the big day. When preparing the skin, you would have to make use of a light moisturizer and a primer.
While the primer helps to keep the foundation and the concealer together while making it last longer, a light moisturizer helps to keep the skin hydrated. Primer also helps to keep fine line and wrinkles away for that big day. Please note that before you apply any prep to the skin, you must wash the bride’s face thoroughly or you use a cleanser.

For this, I recommend that you use pond’s oil control primer which is very good on an oily skin.
STEP 2
The next step you need to take is to be able to identify the kind of skin your client has. There are different kinds of skin and it should be noted that what works for one skin does not work for the other. We have dry skin, we have oily skin and we also have combination skin. If your client has an oily skin, then I feel you have more work to do as you will have to use more of oil control products.
You should also be able to identify the skin shade and tone of your client. If you have no idea on how to do this, you simply talk to any dermatologist.
STEP 3
The next step you would have to take for this is to apply the foundation, please note that the foundation would have to come in first before the concealer. Also, I have noticed that people like to draw the brows and then highlight them before they go in with the foundation, well, I do not personally like this method because you would have to do a lot of blending and your brows may not get to be as light as you would want them to be. Hence, we go in with the foundation first. However, you should never go in with the foundation if the primer is not yet dry as it would make a mess of your makeup.
If you have a full coverage foundation, it is advisable not to go in with a very thick layer of foundation as it would start to cake and look very messy in the end. First, you would have to start with a light or thin layer of foundation and you can go over it over again so it would be well blended. I would also advise you do this with the aid of a foundation brush.

The next thing you would need to do is to go in with your concealer to highlight underneath your eye and also your jaw. It is quite advisable that you use a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. You do not have to round on your skin trying to blend the concealer to avoid fine lines. The only thing you have to do is to pat in the concealer till it blends evenly
For your foundation, I would highly recommend flawless foundation and also pro concealer for your concealer before I have these very easy to blend and they blend in finely and evenly.
STEP 4
You would then have to go in with your setting powder to crown your highlight. Do not blend your setting powder as soon as you apply it because you would want it to sink a little into the skin. Next, you would need to go contour your face with a darker foundation, I would recommend a foundation that is one or two shades darker than the one you used for the full face. Contour underneath you jaw, your hair line as well as your cheek bone.
STEP 5
This step takes us to the eyes. You would need to do your brows next; all you have to do is to go in lightly with your brow powder or your brow pencil. The whole essence of doing this lightly is to make sure it comes out very natural. After doing this, you would have to move to the eye shadow. It should be noted that a bride’s makeup totally has to be very light and not too flashy so you have to take it easy when going in with the colors.

Once you are done, go in with a little touch of powder, you would also need to do the lips. You have to take your time to finely line the lips before going in with a lip stick. For a bridal makeup, I would recommend that you use a glossy lip stick so that it comes out very well. you add a little bit of glow to this.
